Access to ALL areas of the Garden is FREE - including the Treehouse, Begonia House, Rose Garden.

Wheelchairs & Mobility Scooters

Generally the Garden is hilly, but these areas are wheelchair friendly:

* at the top of the Cable Car
* Lady Norwood Rose Garden
* Glenmore Street main entrance and Main Garden

Mobility Scooters are now available free of charge from the:

* Treehouse Visitor Centre
* Begonia House
Please make contact first to ensure one is available
Unfortunately mobility scooters are not available at the Cable Car Entrance.


Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a lead and owners clean up after them.

Main Garden near duck pond
Behind Begonia House
Anderson Park near Cricket Pavilion


Public telephones are not aavailable in the Garden. One is available in the lower Cable Car terminal, and on Lambton Quay

Good cell phone coverage available throughout the garden

Free wifi available during  business  hours at the Treehouse Visitors Centre (works on balcony) and in the Lady Norwood Begonia House.
